On 8–9 April 2026, the APAC Legal Congress will take place in Singapore, bringing together more than 1,600 in-house counsel, legal leaders, government representatives, academics and industry professionals from across the Asia-Pacific region.

Organised by the Singapore Corporate Counsel Association (SCCA), this flagship annual event is one of the largest and most influential gatherings for the in-house legal community in Asia.

Under the theme:
“The End of the Legal Comfort Zone: Survival, Relevance, and Reinvention in an Algorithmic Asia-Pacific”
(The end of the legal department’s comfort zone: survival, adaptation and reinvention in an algorithm-driven Asia-Pacific),

APAC Legal Congress 2026 raises fundamental questions for the legal profession in a context defined by:

  • Increasing compliance and regulatory demands;
  • Pressure to optimise costs and restructure legal departments;
  • Evolving talent models and people management strategies;
  • The rapid advancement of AI and legal technology.

The Congress serves as a candid forum for legal leaders to discuss how to remain resilient, uphold professional value, and reposition the role of in-house counsel in an increasingly dynamic and complex environment.

A Distinguished Line-up and International Network

APAC Legal Congress 2026 is expected to welcome senior leaders from Singapore’s legal system, including:

  • Mr Edwin Tong SC, Minister for Law and Second Minister for Home Affairs;
  • Chief Justice Sundaresh Menon SC;
  • Attorney-General Lucien Wong SC.

The Congress will also host leaders from Singaporean and international legal organisations, alongside representatives from in-house counsel associations in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, the Philippines, India, New Zealand and Canada, as well as international bodies such as APCCA and In-house Counsel Worldwide (ICW).
