Legal Seminar: Decree No. 219/2025/NĐ-CP – 8 Key Questions When Applying for a Work Permit Under the Latest Regulations
Thursday, 27/11/2025 @ 13:30 - 16:30
In the context of deepening economic integration and the growing demand for international talent, the Government of Vietnam has issued Decree No. 219/2025/NĐ-CP, the most recent legal instrument governing procedures related to the employment of foreign workers. This Decree serves to update and refine the current labour law framework while addressing practical issues that have arisen under previous regulations.
To help enterprises effectively apply the new provisions of Decree 219/2025/NĐ-CP, the Chief Corporate Counsel Club (CCCC) will hold its November 2025 Legal Seminar titled:
“Decree No. 219/2025/NĐ-CP: 8 Key Questions When Applying for a Work Permit Under the Latest Regulations.”
The presentation will focus on analysing the most notable updates of the Decree through eight key questions, helping businesses, HR departments, and legal professionals clearly understand the new management mechanisms, procedural steps, and compliance requirements in practice.
The seminar will address the following 8 questions:
1️⃣ Should foreign workers be recommended to enter Vietnam before, during, or after their work permit is issued?
2️⃣ In what forms may enterprises employ foreign workers? What are the criteria for classifying these employment types?
3️⃣ What is the required format of documents submitted to the Department of Home Affairs, Industrial Zone Authority, or High-Tech Park Authority?
4️⃣ What are the critical timelines that enterprises should keep in mind when submitting applications for issuance or renewal of work permits?
5️⃣ What is the standard procedure for preparing a complete work permit application, and what key points should be noted?
6️⃣ What is the standard process for applying for a work permit and related compliance requirements?
7️⃣ How should the business lines and working sectors be recorded according to the latest templates?
8️⃣ What are the most important elements in a work permit application that enterprises need to pay attention to?
This presentation aims to provide a comprehensive, up-to-date, and practical overview of the new legal framework, offering actionable insights to help enterprises proactively adjust internal processes, ensure compliance, and optimise efficiency in hiring and managing foreign employees in Vietnam.
